Child Of Mercury With Child Of The Sun
Your roles are set up from the start. A Child of the Sun sits on the throne while you clown around making fun. You know this person doesn’t get half the jokes and wisecracks you send whizzing over the net, but the fact that he or she will laugh anyway warms your heart. It’s extremely rare for you to want to impress anyone. But winning that stamp of approval from a Child of the Sun marks the high point of your day.
Not your first choice. A Child of the Sun usually opts for a yes-man (or woman) and though you’ll play along, you’ll eventually want to debate. If you hook up, it will probably be later in life or after you’ve both been married. At this point you can enjoy the special camaraderie you share free of all the romantic expectations (and stereotypes).
You two are a formidable team. Plus you’re a lot of fun to be around. A Child of the Sun makes the perfect foil, not to mention “tough” cop to your “good” cop. You’re happy to manage your day-to-day affairs, but whenever you have to bring in the big guns, you know you can always rely on your Solar mate to lay down the law with a recalcitrant kid or quarrelsome contractor.
In some ways you can’t help feeling that your Solar parent shortchanged himself or herself. You’re convinced that there’s a potential yet to be realized. But you may be really talking about yourself. You’re the one who doesn’t want to accept convention, while your Solar parent is quite comfortable with it. Being happy in your life doesn’t have to detract from your intellectual or creative pursuits.
Your pride and joy. A Solar Child is always game for the next adventure you have up your sleeve. Your only reservation, however, is with the way this kid always has to be right. As a Mercury parent, you should encourage your child to be more inquisitive. Anyone can be a know-it-all, but few people are clever enough to ask a really good question.
You’ve always admired the way your Solar sibling could just step right up to the front of the line without once looking back. Clearly your Solar sibling is on to something, but what? It may take a lifetime to deduce the secret to this person’s success.
A Solar friend is like a fire, vivacious and bright. But if that spirit burns low, you’ll have to tend it. A Solar friend needs recognition along with the occasional pat on the back. Without it, the Child of the Sun will get sullen and mopey.
You could probably run circles around your Solar enemy, so you need to ask yourself if it’s worth it. Children of the Sun are peace loving for the most part and really don’t go looking for a fight. There’s a good chance you can settle your differences even if you don’t see eye to eye. However if properly provoked, your Solar enemy will retaliate.
Your boss knows you’re smart. That’s why you were hired. However if you want to get anywhere, then you need to show some discretion to go along with that savvy. Otherwise you won’t be trusted and subsequently will be kept on a short leash.
A Solar colleague is instantly recognizable by his or her popularity. Chances are you’ll hear about this person long before you meet. It’s always worth getting to know this Child of the Sun because everyone comes to this person for the “real” scoop at review time. Don’t make the mistake of assuming this person is just “one of the gang.” Chances are your Solar colleague is your boss’s cousin, married to a client, or happens to be drinking buddies with the floor manager.
