Child Of Mars With Child Of Mercury
A Child of Mercury will always show you the quickest way to get from point A to point B, but it may not be by traveling a straight line. Sometimes you have to take a circuitous route or need to know the right people who can open certain doors. A Mercury Child is familiar with all the ins and outs.
It takes more than romance to woo a Child of Mercury. You have to have a love of people. At first it may bother you that your date’s idea of a good time is to be out and about. You’d rather be in a dark corner getting more acquainted. But he or she wants to see how you interact in different environments and with certain mixes of people. If you’re lively and fun, you’re a keeper. If all you want to do is leave, then your Mercury love interest will happily show you the door.
You couldn’t ask for a better team player. What may take some getting used to, though, is the way your mate will encourage you to come up with an idea or plan, and then ask if you really think it’s any good. Mercury Children rarely introduce ideas of their own; their special talent is in taking an idea and making it better. And since you’re so good at generating original concepts, it only makes sense that your mate would turn to you.
Your Mercury parent may have inadvertently turned you off to learning, probably because it meant so much to this person and it’s your Mars nature to buck authority when you’re young. Nevertheless you still absorbed what your mom or dad said, so it wouldn’t be unusual for you to revisit education later. You may go back to school, study a subject on your own, or even pursue a career in academia, much to your Mercury parent’s surprise and delight.
You may feel that actions speak louder than words, but your kid believes it’s the other way around. Don’t expect to make a point unless you’re willing to debate it. It won’t fly if you just tell your Mercury kid not to think so much. Although this can get exasperating at times, it forces you to really consider the message you’re sending. You can’t help learning something new by raising a Mercury Child.
Mercury siblings have a way of mixing it up and then acting as if they haven’t the slightest clue as to why you’re so angry. Thankfully, with the passing of years, your sibling has less of a need for negative attention and more of a desire for the positive kind, which suits you fine.
You two probably share an activity or hobby that you both pursue with glee. There may even be a competitive element involved. But no one will applaud more loudly when you win. And if you lose, your Mercury friend always knows exactly what to say to boost your spirits.
No one is more devious. This person has a talent for using your words against you. Yet your Mercury enemy will eventually have to make a point or answer a question. And that’s where you can pin him or her down if you’re quick about it.
As a Child of Mars you expect a strong hand when it comes to direction. You won’t like the way your boss will ask anyone for input or consider possibilities that strike you as capricious or just plain silly. But Mercury bosses are very strategic and play their cards close to their chest. This person may have plans that you can’t even begin to guess.
A Mercury colleague is always there when you need him or her. You couldn’t ask for better support. The only thing you have to watch out for is the way this person can egg you on without even meaning to.
